Terms of engagement and guarantee

Two revision rounds, a 30-day fix on every site, and every file is yours.

These are the terms for using this site and for hiring Vorngix for website design, brand identity or print work in Austin and beyond. They read like a statute because they are one. Short sentences, numbered parts, no clause you need a lawyer to decode.

Effective

Part IParties and scope

1.1Who these terms are with. These terms are between you and Vorngix, a website and brand identity studio trading at vorngix.com from 83 River Road, Office 12, Austin, Texas 02757, United States. "We" means the studio and its four people. "You" means whoever reads the site, sends an inquiry, or signs a project agreement with us. A business that hires us is bound through the person who signs for it.

1.2What the site provides. This site describes our work, shows past cases, offers an estimator, and lets you send an inquiry or start a chat. That is all it does. It is not a shop, a hosting service or a design tool.

1.3What the studio makes.Small marketing websites of five to twenty pages, written by hand in HTML and CSS; site rebuilds; logos, wordmarks, identity systems and brand guidelines; business cards, stationery, menus, flyers and social templates. Each is described on the websites, identity and print pages.

1.4What it does not make.We do not run advertising, manage social accounts, sell SEO retainers, build apps or online stores, or host sites on a monthly plan. If your project needs one of those, we say so on the first call and name who might do it better.

Part IIInquiries, prices and orders

2.1Nothing is sold here.No product or service can be bought, booked or paid for on this site. There is no cart and no payment field. Sending an inquiry commits you to nothing and commits us only to reply.

2.2Figures are estimates.Every price on this site, including the bands on service pages and every number the estimator produces, is a planning range. None is a quote and none binds either side.

2.3How an inquiry becomes an order. After a call we send a written quote naming the deliverables, the page or piece count, the two revision rounds, the timeline in weeks and the fee. Work starts when you sign that quote and pay the deposit it states. The signed quote is the contract; these terms fill its gaps.

2.4Basis of price. All fees are in US dollars. We price per unit: per page for a site, per mark for a logo, per system, per document, per printed piece or set. A starter site of up to five pages runs $2,400 to $3,600; each page from six to fifteen adds $280 to $420. The other bands are on the service pages and in the estimator.

2.5What moves a price.Page count, whether we edit your copy or write it, the number of applied items in an identity, a rush timeline under three weeks (which adds a fifth to the total), and third-party costs such as printing, paper stock, fonts licensed in your name and domain registration, which we pass on at cost with the invoice attached. A sixth page costs a sixth page, not a new package.

2.6Payment schedule.Half on signing, half on handover, unless the quote states otherwise. Files are handed over when the final invoice is paid.

Part IIIRevisions, guarantee and handover

3.1Two revision rounds.Every project includes two rounds of revisions, each named in the quote against a specific stage. A round is one consolidated list of changes from you, sent in one message, answered by us in one revised version. Twenty emails across a week count as one round only if they arrive before we start revising.

3.2A third round.A third round usually means the brief was wrong. We stop, rewrite the brief with you, and quote any further rounds at the hourly rate printed on the quote before doing them. We never bill a round you did not agree to in writing.

3.3Print proofs.Printed work is proofed on the actual paper stock before you sign off. Approval of a physical proof transfers responsibility for spelling and content to you; colour variation within the printer's stated tolerance is not a defect.

3.4The 30-day site fix.For 30 days after a site goes live, we fix at no charge any defect in code we wrote: a broken link, a layout that fails on a current browser, a form that does not send, a page that does not meet the speed budget in the quote. The guarantee does not cover changes you or another developer make to the code, new content or pages, hosting outages, or third-party services. Report a defect by email; we start on it within two working days.

3.5File handover. On final payment you receive every source file: the HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images of the site; the vector masters of every mark in SVG, PDF and EPS with mono and inverse versions; the layered design files; the print-ready PDFs with bleed and an editable version of each; the guidelines and the one-page use sheet. We do not hold files back and we do not charge to release them.

3.6Ownership of work made for you.On final payment the copyright in the delivered work passes to you. We keep the right to show the finished work in our portfolio and on the work page unless you ask us not to in writing before handover. Typefaces stay under their own licences.

Part IVUse of this site

4.1What you may not do.You may not send inquiries or chat messages in someone else's name, use the forms to deliver advertising or malware, scrape the site in bulk, probe or load-test it without permission, try to reach any part of it not linked from the public pages, or copy our case studies and present them as your own work.

4.2Who owns the site. The text, photographs, layouts, code and the Vorngix name and marks on this site belong to Vorngix, except client work shown with the client's permission, which belongs to that client. You may quote a short passage with a link back. You may not reuse a photograph or the logo.

4.3Refusing access. We may block an address, end a chat or refuse an inquiry from anyone who breaks clause 4.1, sends abuse to the studio, or uses the site to harm another person. Either side may end a project agreement by written notice; work done to that date is paid for and the files for it are handed over.

Part VWarranty and liability

5.1As is.This site and the information on it are provided as is. We keep it accurate, but a price band, a timeline or a description on a page is not a promise about your project. We do not warrant that the site is free of interruption, or that a design will raise your sales, rank in a search engine or be approved by an advertising platform. The only warranty on delivered work is the one in clause 3.4.

5.2Limit of liability. Our total liability under any project is limited to the fees you paid for that project. We are not liable for lost profit, lost data, or indirect loss, nor for anything that happens on hosting, printing or ad platforms we do not control. Nothing here limits liability that Texas law does not allow to be limited, including for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

Part VILaw, changes and contact

6.1Governing law. These terms and every project agreement run under the law of the State of Texas, United States. A dispute is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. We would rather settle it on a phone call first, and we try.

6.2Changes.When these terms change, the date at the head of this page changes and the new text applies from that date. A signed project keeps the terms in force on the day it was signed. Clients with an open project are told by email before any change that would affect them.

6.3Questions about these terms.Write to Vorngix, 83 River Road, Office 12, Austin, Texas 02757, United States, or email [email protected], or call +1 (448) 555-0161. How we treat personal data is set out in the privacy notice and the cookie ledger.
